Arklow Raider
On Tuesday 16th November The Arklow Raider Ran aground as she was leaving Drogheda in Gale Force Winds. After leaving the breakwater her Rudder was damaged and she was driven  ashore onto the north beach. On Thursday 18th The Tugs Husky & Boyne Protector tried to re-flout her but failed. At 0330 on Friday 19th The Tug Oakgarth arrived from Liverpool and at 1030 as she was on high water she was re-flouted, later That day The Oakgarth Towed the Arklow Raider to Dublin Port.
 
Here Are Some Photos of her at Dublin Port Loading her Cargo of Cement into Arklow Rose on Tuesday 23rd Novembr Before she shifted to Dublin Dry Docks for Repairs.

E-Ship 1 on a visit to Dublin port 11-8-10

‘Enercon’, one of the world’s leading companies in the wind energy sector from Germany. E-Ship 1 uses wind energy to cut down fuel costs and also helps to reduce emissions. Unlike Beluga Skysail which uses a huge parasail, E-Ship 1 uses four giant 25 metre high, 4 metre in diameter, rotating, vertical metal sailing rotors positioned two fore and two aft to harness wind energy. The sailing rotors are also called as Flettner rotors
